The Freedom Convoy travelling from western Canada and headed for Ottawa is a few hours behind schedule, delaying its arrival in Pembroke.

The convoy is now expected to arrive in Pembroke, with some stopping at the Irving Big Stop, between 7 and 7:30 p.m., barring any further delays along the route. Local supporters have plans to line Highway 17 as it is being noted only trucks that need fuel will be stopping with most continuing on.
Many of the participants will be staying overnight in and around Arnprior, including the Antrim Truck Stop. The convoy is now expected to arrive there between 8:30 and 9 p.m.
The first group is nearing North Bay. Supporters lined both sides of the roadway in the Pinewood Park Drive area waiting for the convoy hours before its arrival due to the delays.
Convoys of vehicles from southern Ontario, Eastern Canada and Quebec will converge in Ottawa Saturday for a demonstration to demand the end of government mandates, including those related to COVID-19 vaccine for truckers.
