Jordan will represent the MAC Freedom along with Stevens' Elizabeth Chu.
Averi Jordan - DeSales Women's Basketball (MAC Freedom)
Jordan, a nursing major, was a four-year member of the DeSales women's basketball team. Jordan had a very successful four years both on the court and in the classroom. She led the MAC Freedom in field goals (166) and points (470) to be named the MAC Freedom Player of the Year for the second consecutive year in 2022 and later be named D3hoops.com's Regional Player of the Year, also for the second consecutive year.
Jordan also earned academic recognition as a four-time MAC Winter Academic Honor Roll recipient, three-time Academic All-MAC honoree and a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-American. In her senior year alone, she was named a 2022 MAC Senior Scholar-Athlete, a 2022 Josten's Trophy Top-10 Finalist and was awarded the 2022 President's Medal of Honor from DeSales. All conference nominees are forwarded to the Woman of the Year selection committee, which chooses the top 30 honorees—10 from each Division. From the top 30, the selection committee determines the top three nominees from each Division and announces the top nine finalists in September. The NCAA Committee on Women's Athletics then will choose the 2022 NCAA Woman of the Year, who will be named this fall.
