The midterm elections are over, and I believe that the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade has sparked a drive for freedom in this country. Our really magnificent Constitution definitely intends a separation between church and state. To me, this means I should be free from the devout religious beliefs of others. This includes reproductive choice freedom and now, at age 84, freedom to make an end-of-life decision. Oregon is at the forefront of providing this freedom, but with limitations that don’t allow for all the problems that come with aging. Quality of life is important and should certainly involve freedom of choice involving end of life.
