Sound of Freedom released on July 4 and beat the latest Indiana Jones at the domestic box office for the holiday. The fifth Indiana Jones film, released by the Walt Disney Company, has greatly underperformed, opening on the weekend of June 30 to only $60 million.

Sound of Freedom is about the story of how former Homeland Security agent Tim Ballard quit his DHS job to journey into the jungles of Colombia in an effort to save children from sex slavery. Ballard is portrayed in the film by Jim Caviezel, best known for playing Jesus in 2004's The Passion of the Christ.
