The final practice before the Indianapolis 500 has arrived at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Welcome to Carb Day.
Practice begins at 11 a.m. where teams will make their final tune-ups to make cars race-ready for Sunday. Fans can expect plenty of drafting and passing on the track in an effort to simulate track conditions for the 104th running of the Indy 500.

Carb Day
1:00 p.m. – The flag flies. Carb Day is in the books for Indy 500 drivers with the final practice officially over. Only five drivers broke the 224 mph barrier today.
12:58 p.m. – Josef Newgarden is done for the day. He sits with Team Penske's fastest lap today sitting seventh overall at 223.764 mph.
12:45 p.m. – Only 15 minutes remain in Carb Day practice. Marcus Ericsson has put in 94 laps and currently sits eighth on the day with 223.700 mph as his fastest lap.
12:35 p.m. – Pole sitter Marco Andretti has turned in 52 laps and currently ranks 28th with his fastest lap of the day coming in at 221.314 mph.
12:27 p.m. – With 33 minutes left in the final practice, Sage Karam barely brushes the wall up high. Doesn't appear to have any major damage.
12:24 p.m. – Current Top 5 fastest laps: Pato O'Ward, 225.355 mph; Scott Dixon, 224.646; Alexander Rossi, 224.559; Takuma Sato, 224.580; Oliver Askew 224.128.
12:09 p.m. – Pato O'Ward has the most laps run so far, currently taking his 50th lap.
11:46 a.m. - Colton Herta over the radio to his team: "Something's wrong with this thing. We're so slow."
11:33 a.m. – Pato O'Ward is the first driver to break 225 mph at 225.355.
11:26 a.m. – Pole sitter Marco Andretti had a close call, seemingly surprised by a car coming out the pit area.
