November 7, 2021 at 8:26 PM ESTAfter seven months of soccer, the MLS regular season comes to a close today, with two sets of simultaneous kickoffs known as Decision Day.
There's a lot at stake this time around, with tight playoff races in both the Eastern and Western Conferences. The Golden Boot race will also be decided, with several candidates up for the title of MLS's top goal scorer this year. The Eastern Conference games all kick off at around 3:45 p.m. ET, while the Western Conference games will all kick off at around 6:25 p.m. ET
Your local club's games can be seen on your local network, but in the United States all games are on ESPN+, with the exception of Nasvhille SC vs. New York Red Bulls on ESPN with coverage starting at, and LA Galaxy vs. Minnesota United on Fox Sports 1 with coverage starting at 6 p.m. ET. In Canada, all Decision Day games will be available on DAZN, with CF Montreal vs. Orlando City shown on TSN1 and TVA at 3:30 p.m. ET, Toronto FC vs. D.C. United on TSN 4 at 3:30 p.m. ET, and Vancouver Whitecaps vs. Seattle Sounders on TSN1 at 6 p.m. ET.
Western Conference scenarios by club:
• To clinch top seed: win + Seattle loss/tie + Kansas City loss/tie
• To clinch top seed: win + Seattle loss/tie OR tie + Seattle loss by more than one goal + Colorado lose/tie
LA Galaxy
• To clinch playoffs: win OR tie + Vancouver loss + Salt Lake or LAFC loss/tie
LAFC
• To clinch playoffs: win + Vancouver loss OR win + Salt Lake loss/tie
Minnesota United
• To clinch playoffs: win/tie OR Vancouver loss + LAFC loss/tie OR Salt Lake loss/tie + LAFC loss/tie
• To clinch playoffs: win
Seattle Sounders:
• To clinch top seed: win OR tie + Kansas City tie + Colorado lose or tie OR lose by one goal + Kansas City tie + Colorado lose/tie
Vancouver Whitecaps:
• To clinch playoffs: win OR Galaxy lose + Salt Lake lose/tie OR Galaxy lose + LAFC lose/tie OR Salt Lake lose/tie + LAFC lose/tie
