CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Gardner-Webb swim team wrapped up its first day of competition at the 2021 Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy. At the conclusion of day one, the women currently sit in fifth-place with 199 points and the men are in fourth with 225 points.
In the women's 200-yard freestyle relay, the squad of Kayla Smith, Alexa Haasser, Eliza Gunson, and Alyssa Church took sixth with a time of 1:36.08 at the wall.
As for the men's 200-yard freestyle relay, the squad of Brady Fields, Logan Cornelison, Tim Bennett, and Seggio Bernardina came in fifth-place with a time of 1:23.04 at the finish.
The Squad of Delaney Willette, Abby Surley, Binard Paris, and Alyssa Church finished tenth overall in the women's 400-yard medley relay, as they clocked in with a time of 3:55.46.
In the last event of the evening, the squad of Brady Fields, Jonathan Frye, Tim Bennett, Seggio Bernardina took seventh in the men's 400-yard medley relay with a finishing time of 3:24.61 at the wall.
The 'Dogs will be back in action tomorrow for the second day of Fall Frenzy Invite action.
