Patchy fog has developed north of I-10 this morning creating lower visibility, but with our temperatures below freezing it’s creating another hazard and that is freezing fog. While the fog hasn’t developed across all of Southwest Louisiana it’s important to use caution in the areas that it has as it could make for a few slick spots on the roadways. Allow yourself a little extra time as you are heading off to work and school this morning as well as make sure to warm your cars up before heading off anywhere. We do see improvements for the afternoon as we see sunshine to start the day and that will help to thaw us out as we head into the morning and afternoon hours, but we will remain well below average as we only make it back into the upper 40′s to lower 50′s this afternoon. Overnight we will be watching for a little cloud cover to work it’s way into the area and that will help to keep us just above the freezing mark as we start Wednesday off in the lower to middle 30′s.
