In La Liga and the Premier League, the window closes at 23:00 GMT, in Serie A the deadline is 19:00 and in the Bundesliga it is 17:00. So, a shade over an hour left for German sides while the other major European entities have longer.

The Mail's Adrian Kajumba reports: "Watford’s Nathaniel Chalobah has emerged as a potential midfield addition with Arsenal reluctant to lend Ainsley Maitland-Niles to rivals Leicester and a deal failing to materialise after talks over Rostov’s Mathias Normann.

"Rodgers said: ‘There has been dialogue. The moves will be reliant on other teams’ movement. At the moment if you were putting a percentage on it I would say 50/50 but we will see how the day goes.'"
