MORTON, Minn. -- The Augustana women's golf team remains in first-place after the second-round of the NSIC Championships took place Saturday at the Dacotah Ridge Golf Club in Morton, Minnesota.
As a team, the Vikings shot a second-round score of 329 and sit five strokes ahead of second-place Sioux Falls.
The Vikings were led by senior Natalie Young on Saturday as she posted a second-round score of 78 strokes. The round was the best for the Vikings in round two and propelled Young to a tie for third-place at the tournament, moving up four spots and moving her two-day score to 155.
Freshman Lauren Tims sits alone in fifth-place at the tournament after golfing an 82 on day-two. Her total score thus far sits just one stroke behind Young at 156.
Sophomore Molly Stevens and senior Alex Stone are both tied for sixth-place at the tournament with Stevens posting a day-two score of 84 while Stone tallied an 85. The duo are both just one stroke behind Tims at 157.
Junior Hanna Morin golfed an 86 on day-two and currently sits in a tie for 26th place with a two-day score of 167.
The NSIC Champion will be decided Sunday after the completion of round three of the tournament. Tee-time is set for noon.
