In the July 21 E-R Ronald Steinke presents us with a false choice between freedom and socialism. His simplistic narrative belies all the facts of recent decades.
Like myself, a WWII veteran, Democrats have fought alongside all races and ideologies for our freedom. In times of war and peace we work for equality, voting rights, universal health care, and our beautiful environment.
Mr. Steinke’s “innocent president” has not supported any of the above issues, has avoided military service, and has promulgated more lies than all the Democrats who ever lived.
We’ll elect Joe Biden in November because he represents honesty, human rights and common sense in government. And we’ll do it with the support of many former Republicans.
