CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference will host its 2021 Football Media Day in person on July 20th at the Ford Field in Detroit, Mich. from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Media Day will kick off the 75th Anniversary season of MAC Football, which officially begins on Thursday, Sept. 2, and will conclude with the 2021 Rocket Mortgage MAC Football Championship Game at Ford Field in Detroit Saturday, Dec. 4, at Noon.
MAC Commissioner Dr. Jon Steinbrecher will be joined by the head coaches from each member institution as well as two student-athlete representatives. Steinbrecher will begin Media Day with his address to the media at 10:30 am ET. All head coaches and student-athletes will be available to the media throughout the event.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the MAC did not host a Media Day last season before playing a shortened season in 2020. This was the first time the Mid-American Conference did not host Media Day at Ford Field since 2017 when it was held at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
