Freedom man arrested for Aggravated DWI after traffic stop
On July 4, 2021, SP Machias Troopers arrested David T. Murray, 36, of Freedom, NY for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated.
Troopers conducted a traffic stop after Murray was observed speeding in his pick-up truck on North Road in the town of Freedom. During the vehicle stop, Murray exhibited obvious signs of impairment and had open containers of alcohol in his vehicle. Murray failed administered standardized field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. Murray was transported to SP Machias for processing, where he provided a breath sample resulting in a 0.19% blood alcohol content.
Murray was released to a third party on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Freedom Town Court later this month.
