Each year, Lemonade Day hosts a countywide event honoring youth and entrepreneurism, with local kids hosting a lemonade stand. In 2021, the 10th annual Lemonade Day will be Aug. 14.
All children who register for the free community-wide event get access to a wide variety of supports and resources, including the fun, educational app: Lemonade Day My Way. This app teaches kids everything they need to know about running their own small business: A Lemonade Stand. Registration is now open and children can sign up to participate at humboldt.lemonadeday.org.
Lemonade Day workshop
Are your children interested in participating in Lemonade Day, but you are not sure if it’s right for you? Check out the “All About Lemonade Day” workshop on Saturday. The workshop will cover everything you need to know about Lemonade Day, how to get involved, how to access the online app, and what you need to know to have a successful Lemonade Day. The “All About Lemonade Day” workshop takes place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Jefferson Community Center, 1000 B St., Eureka.
New in 2021
Lemonade Day is partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the North Coast for the first time this year, and rolling out a new mentoring program. Do you know a child who would like to participate, but they might need some additional support? Sign them up for the mentor program. Are you an adult who wants to share your experience and love of small business with a local youth entrepreneur? Sign up to be a mentor.
