Massachusetts-owned Hood Ice Cream and Wahlburgers are offering a Hood Mini Birthday Cake Ice Cream Sandwich the purchase of any kids meal and purchase a special Hood ice cream sandwich milkshake at participating Wahlburgers locations – Boston, Dorchester, Hingham and Lynnfield.
Continuing the celebration, Hood will give away free Hood Ice Cream Sandwiches to the first 500 customers at the same locations for National Ice Cream Sandwich Day on Aug. 2.
“Hood Ice Cream is delighted to join Wahlburgers and families this summer to celebrate the simple joys of ice cream,” says Lynne Bohan, Group Vice President, Communications and Government Affairs for HP Hood LLC said in a press release. “New Englanders have trusted Hood to deliver delicious, high-quality ice cream for generations, and now available with a Wahlburgers kids’ meal or milkshake, there’s no better way to celebrate summer than with a Hood Ice Cream Sandwich!”

Blue Bunny is celebrating National Ice Cream Day by opening $1,000 tabs at ice cream parlors across country in order to encourage people to head into their local parlors to celebrate. Go to BlueBunny.com on July 18 to learn if your local shop is one of the selected spots to get free ice cream.
This promotion is part of Blue Bunny’s “The Heart of Fun” initiative which they launched last week to support local shops that have struggled in the last year.
On July 18, customer who try Baskin-Robbins new Churro treats will receive a surprise offer to use on their next visit that is redeemable through August.
Customers can get $1 off any size Dipped Cone — except for kid cones — on National Ice Cream Day.
Massachusetts-owned Friendly’s Restaurants is celebrating the holiday by giving away Fribbles to its Sweet Rewards members. A coupon will appear on their account for a free, medium-sized Fribble redeemable until July 31.
“What better way to celebrate National Ice Cream Day than by giving out free Fribbles, the hallmark dessert of Friendly’s restaurants, to our loyal guests,” Craig Erlich, CEO of Friendly’s Restaurants, said. The Fribble is one remains one of the most popular Friendly’s menu items and comes in 18 plus premium flavors, according to the restaurant.
Customers can win free ice cream for a year from Insomnia Cookies if they fill out this form before 11:59 P.M. on July 18.
The grand prize is an Insomnia Cookies gift card valued at $1,960 which was equated to a free cookie with a scoop of ice cream every day for a whole year.
