Most city offices, including City Hall, will be closed Monday, Sept. 6, for the Labor Day holiday. Emergency services will be available as usual.
Solid Waste Services
There will be no changes in garbage, recycle, yard waste or bulk collection schedules. Drop-off stations and the Environmental Collection Center will be closed. If you have questions or need assistance, call 817-392-1234.
Library
All Fort Worth libraries will be closed Sept. 6; they will reopen at their normal times Sept. 7.
Park & Recreation
Most community centers, the Haws Athletic Center, late-night programs and the Log Cabin Village will be closed Sept. 6. Chisholm Trail and Victory Forest community centers will be open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 6.
Animal Shelter
The Fort Worth Animal Shelter’s main location and the North Animal Campus will be closed Sept. 6. However, the two PetSmart Adoption Centers, at Hulen and Alliance, will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Water Department
To access the Water Department’s automated system for payments and account inquiries or to report an emergency, call the 24-hour call center at 817-392-4477.
COVID-19 Vaccines
No city-sponsored COVID-19 vaccination clinics or testing sites will be available on Sept. 6. The regular schedule resumes Sept. 7.
City Council
City Council meetings for Sept. 7 have been canceled; the next City Council meeting will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 14.
Transportation
Trinity Metro buses and ACCESS paratransit will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule Sept. 6. TEXRail and ZIPZONE on-demand rideshare services will operate on a regular schedule. There will be no Trinity Railway Express train service. Customer care representatives will be available 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 6 at 817-215-8600.
