The fourth day’s play of the CIB PSA Black Ball Squash Open takes place today, as the last 16 battle it out for places in the quarter-finals of the Platinum event at the Black Ball Sporting Club in Cairo.

All of the eight seeds made it through to the third round and they will be on one after another as the fourth day of the tournament progresses, starting New Zealand’s Joelle King, who takes on Egypt’s Nadine Shahin in the opening match of the day.

The two Black Ball Open champions from 2020, Hania El Hammamy and Sarah-Jane Perry, are also in action in the early window of matches, as they face India’s Joshna Chinappa and USA’s Olivia Fiechter, respectively.

Two more Americans, in Olivia Clyne and World No.7 Amanda Sobhy will also be in action, with the latter playing Egypt’s Farida Mohamed, while Clyne does battle with World No.2 Nouran Goahr in the last match of the day’s proceedings.

World No.1 Nour El Sherbini will take on Belgium’s Tinne Gilis, World No.3 Camille Serme will face Canadian No.1 Hollie Naughton, and the only all-Egyptian clash of the day, featuring World No.10 Salma Hany and Rowan Elaraby, will also take place in the evening session.
