OMAHA, Neb. -- Marcus Zegarowski tied his career-high with 32 points and Christian Bishop (10 points, 10 rebounds) had a double-double to help the No. 14 Creighton men's basketball team pick up its 14th win in BIG EAST play on Saturday with a 93-73 victory over Butler.

The Bluejays, playing under the direction of interim head coach Alan Huss, played a special message on the arena video board prior to "Lift Every Voice and Sing" while wearing special black t-shirts with the word EQUALITY on the back. Following the game the team recognized Damien Jefferson, Mitch Ballock, Denzel Mahoney and Jacob Epperson as part of Senior Day festivities.

Creighton controlled the game from the outset, pushing the pace to get open looks against a Butler defense that came into the game second in the BIG EAST in scoring defense (66.7 ppg.). The Bluejays made 18 field goals in the first half en route to a 46-32 lead at the break, with 18 points from Zegarowski leading the way. Bishop grabbed seven rebounds to help the Bluejays to a 19-14 edge on the boards. Chuck Harris made a pair of three-pointers and led Butler with eight points in the first half.

The Bluejay lead remained in double-figures the entire second half, with a trey by Damien Jefferson capping a 10-2 run to push the advantage to 61-43. A Jefferson triple with 5:02 left stretched the Creighton lead to 82-62.

Zegarowski's 32 points tied his career-high done last season vs. No. 12 Texas Tech, as the Preseason BIG EAST Player of the Year shot 10-of-12 from the field. Bishop contributed 10 points and 10 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season, and Mahoney poured in 15 points after torching the Bulldogs for 29 points in Indianapolis in January. Jefferson also contributed 12 points Senior Day. CU won the rebound battle 41-29.

Butler was topped by 29 points from Chuck Harris while Bryce Golden tied his career-high with 19 points. The Bulldogs shot just 5-of-26 from three-point range.

Creighton will be the No. 2 seed at next week's BIG EAST Tournament presented by Jeep ,where it will play a 5 p.m. Central game on Thursday against the winner of the No. 7 vs. No. 10 seed game. The entire bracket will be announced later tonight at the completion of the regular-season.

NOTES: Mitch Ballock joined Kyle Korver and Ethan Wragge as the third player in Creighton history to make 300 or more career three-pointers ... Ballock also broke his own record by playing in his 74th career regular-season BIG EAST game ... Creighton trailed for just 13 seconds in the game, and has trailed for a total of 9:32 while winning its past six Senior Day's ... Creighton is now 24-2 in its last 26 years in its final regular-season home game of the regular-season ... Creighton's 14 league wins tie the program's most in eight years as a member of the BIG EAST ... Creighton will finish second in the BIG EAST, the eighth straight season it has met or exceeded its preseason poll prognostication ... Creighton improved to 5-1 this year on FOX ...
