MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Wednesday, March 17th has been declared a First Alert Weather Day: A significant threat of severe weather exists for the Wednesday and Wednesday night period. All hazards are on the table, including multiple tornadoes, destructive wind gusts and large hail. As of right now, the potential exists for scattered storms to develop during the daylight hours Wednesday. Any storms that manage to form, mature and maintain themselves will likely become supercells capable of producing large hail and perhaps some tornadoes and damaging wind.
