CONWAY, Ark. – The Central Arkansas women's golf team closed out the first day of the Jan Weaver Invitational at the Miller Memorial Golf Course on Friday. Elin Kumlin led the Bears and is tied for seventh at 148 (+4).
The Bears were tied for sixth after a combined first-round score of 305 (+17). UCA regrouped for the second round and recorded the lowest team score of the day with a 293 (+5). Central Arkansas holds a one-shot lead over Murray State (599 +23).
In the first round of the day, Kumlin tallied one birdie and finished with a 76 (+4). She was tied for 14th. She added two more birdies in the second round and posted a score of 72 (E). She moved up seven spots on the leaderboard and is tied for seventh with a 148 (+4).
Tania Nunez opened the day with a mark of 76 (+4) with one birdie and was tied for 14th after the first round. She collected three birdies in the second round and produced a score of 73 (+1). Her two-round total of 149 (+5) moved her up four spots into a tie for 10th.
With an opening round of 75 (+3), Pim-Orn Thitisup was in 13th. She picked up three birdies in the first round. She added two birdies in the second round and finished with a 75 (+3). Her two-round tally of 150 (+6) has her in a tie for 13th.
Camila Moreno started the day with a round of 78 (+6) with a birdie and was tied for 36th. She tallied two birdies in the second round and posted a 73 (+1). She rocketed up 21 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 15th with a two-round mark of 151 (+7).
Pear Rittawee is competing as an individual and posted an opening-round score of 74 (+2) with one birdie. She was tied for sixth at the conclusion of round one. She picked up another birdie in the second round and tallied a score of 80 (+8). Her score after two rounds is 154 (+10) and she is tied for 30th.
Karley Whittington opened the tournament with an 82 (+10) and finished round one in 65th. She produced a round of 79 (+7) in the second and had a two-round mark of 161 (+17). She climbed up 13 spots in the standings and is tied for 52nd.
With an opening-round tally of 86 (+14), Tanja Csaszar was tied for 70th. She collected one birdie in the opening round. She added another birdie in the second round to finish with a 76 (+4). She jumped up 13 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 57th with a two-round score of 162 (+18).
The final round begins with a 9 a.m. with a shotgun start. The Miller Memorial Golf Course is a 6,024-yard, Par-72 course. Live stats can be found here.
