This Mother’s Day, social distancing means togetherness.
That’s the idea behind restaurants offering takeout or delivery this year with traditional brunches out of the question due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Several chains have put together family-style menus to please everybody, not just mom, on the holiday. Mother’s Day falls on this Sunday, May 10.
But some include brunch and breakfast favorites, like quiche.
Some takeout meals include beverages like mimosas, thanks to California’s temporary relaxation of liquor laws.
Here’s a sampling of current offers. Most require ordering at least a day or two in advance, and some have specific pickup windows. Also, many of them require reheating or cooking, particularly steaks or other meat entrees. Make sure you understand what you’re getting before you offer up your credit card.
