MOREHEAD, Ky. – Honoring three of the program's seniors ahead of one of the group's final games at Johnson Arena, Morehead State volleyball made sure to send its seniors out in style, completing a straight-set sweep to put a stamp on a perfect weekend.

The Eagles captured a pair of victories—including the program's 1,000th victory Saturday—without dropping a set in the series, taking Sunday's game behind scores of 25-21, 25-14, 25-19. With the victory, Morehead State improved to 12-0 on the year while Belmont fell to 1-11.

Senior outside hitters Olivia Lohmeier and Lauren Rokey finished for the second straight match tied atop the kills leaderboard as the only players with double figures, posting 11 kills apiece. For the match, Lohmeier crafted a .429 hitting efficiency while Rokey hit at .200.

Posting her second .700-plus hitting percentage match of the season (minimum of 10 attacks), sophomore Abby Hulsman posted the program's 20th match with a hitter hitting .700 or better when taking 10 or more swings, hitting .700 with eight kills and one error on 10 swings.

As a team, Morehead State posted a .318 match hitting efficiency, exceeding a .300 match efficiency for the sixth time this season. Sophomore setter Bridget Bessler passed out a match-best 38 assists, averaging 12.67 helpers per set.

Defensively, junior libero Allison Whitten paced the Eagles and the match with 13 digs, being the only player in the match to scoop up 10 or more balls. Whitten also landed two of Morehead State's five service aces, which also represented a match-high.

Morehead State also collected eight blocks at the net as redshirt freshman McKenzee Wagener paced the Eagles with five total blocks for the second consecutive match, posting one block solo and four blocks assists in each match.

Pre and post-match, Morehead State honored its three seniors, Liz Allen, Chandler Clark, and Lauren Rokey.

The Eagles next turn their sights to their in-state rivals, scheduled for a two-game series next weekend at Eastern Kentucky. The first match is slated for Sunday, March 21 with first serve set for 1 p.m. at McBrayer Arena in Richmond, Ky.
