CHICAGO - DePaul women's soccer welcomes the Providence Friars to Wish Field for a BIG EAST matchup on Sunday afternoon. The Blue Demons will celebrate 2021 Senior Day, honoring McKenna Angotti, Sarah Cohen and Morgan Turner. After a pregame senior ceremony, first touch is set for 1 p.m. and the match will be broadcast on the BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports presented by SoFi.
DePaul (7-9, 4-4 BIG EAST) will look to build on Thursday's 2-0 win over Creighton at Wish Field. The Blue Demons were led to the win by a pair of late goals from Brooke Weitzel and Kristin Boos. DePaul's matchup with the Friars is the second-to-last match of the 2021 regular season.
DePaul leads the all-time series with the Friars by a 7-6-3 clip. The Blue Demons and Friars battled to a 0-0 2OT draw back in 2019, the programs' last meeting. DePaul will be looking for its first win over Providence since 2016.
STANDINGS UPDATE
DePaul currently sits in a tie for sixth place in the BIG EAST with Marquette. The Blue Demons are looking to finish in the top six to secure a spot in the BIG EAST Tournament. Providence is currently within striking distance, sitting at 11 points behind DePaul's 12.

Graduate student Morgan Turner has led the Blue Demon offense this fall, tallying a team-high nine goals. Turner has 31 career goals as a Blue Demon and has moved into fourth-place all-time. Turner's hat trick versus Villanova was the second of her career. Turner scored twice in the Blue Demons win on Thursday over Seton Hall. DePaul has posted a 17-1-1 record during Turner's career in matches that the forward has found the back of the net. With five goals in conference play this season, Turner leads the BIG EAST in conference scoring. Turner has three more goals in BIG EAST action than any other player in the league.

- Providence tied UConn, 1-1, in BIG EAST action on Thursday, Oct. 21 on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium. Sophomore Avery Snead (Wrentham, Mass.) scored the game-tying goal for the Friars in the 69th minute.
- Providence holds an 8-5-3 overall record and a 3-3-2 clip in conference play this fall. The Friars will be searching for their first win since Oct. 10.
