PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's tennis team opened the final weekend of the fall season by hosting the Dragons Invitational. On the first of two days, the Delaware Blue Hens, the NJIT Highlanders and Temple Owls were in attendance.
 
Alan Jesudason and Alex De Sousa were victorious in both matches today. Their first match, against a team from Delaware, ended with an 8-3 score. Against NJIT, the duo was victorious, 8-2.
 
The teams of Matvey Radionov and Xandy Hammitt, and Sanil Jagtiani and Djordje Janackovic both picked up doubles wins against NJIT. Radionov and Hammitt defeated their opponent, 8-3. Jagtiani and Janackovic downed their opponents, 8-6.
 
In the lone singles match of the day, the Dragons defeated NJIT in all six of the matches. Highlighting the six matches was Jesudason, the freshman shut down his opponent with identical 6-0 sets.  Gustav Wogen turned in a gutsy performance to take the second and third sets and defeat his opponent with a 3-6, 6-1, 10-6 score.
 
The Dragons return to Vidas Courts on Sunday to complete their fall season and end the Dragons Invitational.
