Matches will begin at 9 a.m. on both days. Sunday will feature two singles matches and one doubles match while Monday will see one singles match and two doubles matches be played.
The Competition
UTRGV will be playing matches against host Texas State, Stephen F. Austin, and Tarleton State.
Last Time Out
UTRGV last competed at the Javelina Invitational back on Sept. 17-18 combining for eighth total wins over the two days.
Lea Karren posted a pair of wins on the first day by defeating St. Mary's Angela Vargas and Texas A&M-Kingsville's Alessa Maier.
Isabelle Bahr and Marjorie Souza each recorded a win on the first day as Bahr defeated St. Mary's Marina Vigil in straight sets. Souza picked up the straight set victory over Texas A&M-Kingsville's Maya Donkor.
Ana Platisa also picked up a three-set victory over Texas A&M-Kingsville's Manuela Turolo while Alicia Thal defeated Prairie View A&M's Salma Sanchez in three sets.
In doubles, Souza and Karren teamed up for a pair of victories as the duo beat Texas A&M-Kingsville's Donkor and Noemi Sante on the first day before picking up victory over St. Mary's Vigil and Ashley Penshorn.
Thal and Platisa partnered to record a couple of victories as they beat Incarnate Word's Taylor Parkinson and Sofia Salcedo while also defeating Incarnate Word's Jana Knaab and Alejandra Landaluce.
Next Up
UTRGV be back in action on Oct. 22-24 at the Islander Open, hosted by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
