PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel women's tennis team completed day two of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's regionals on Saturday afternoon at Penn. Lorie Lemongo is the last remaining Drexel participant remaining in the three-day prestigious tournament.
 
Lemongo has punched her ticket to the round of 16 after defeating two opponents on day two. In round two, the freshman drew a bye in the first round and then paired up with Nikoleta Antoniou of Buffalo. Lemongo downed her opponent with ease after a pair of identical 6-2 sets. In the third round, the Yaounde, Cameroon native battled for a victory over Amira Badawi of NJIT. The match only went two sets, but each frame needed a tiebreaker. The final score had Lemongo on top, 7-6 (6), 7-6(6).
 
Lemongo returns to the ITA's on Sunday to compete in the round of 16. If she is victorious in her match, she will be given an automatic invite to the ITA Super Regionals on October 14.
